Chichester City Guide |
| The city of Chichester, in West Sussex is situated just a few miles from the sea on the south coast of England, by the South Downs. When the Romans invaded Britain, the area was one of their strongholds. In the nearby town of Fishborne, the ancient city walls and mosaics can still be seen at the Roman Palace. Modern day Chichester is famous for its annual Chichester Festivities, a summer feast of the arts featuring music, talks, walks, theatre by Chichester Festival Theatre, exhibitions, film and dancing. |
